Provide English → Spanish translation services to local non-profits, social services organizations, and outreach initiatives through the Language Bank:
- The Arc of New Jersey Project: Translated a sexual education curriculum for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- American Friends Service Committee Project: Translated stories from a storytelling project on diverse migration experiences to the U.S.
- Provide English ↔︎ Spanish interpretation services to support bilingual communication needs.

Deliver research-based talks and presentations to families, children, and non-expert communities in order to promote the benefits of multilingualism:

- Conducted a workshop on teaching languages to newcomers for the Board of Education Department in North Brunswick, NJ.

- Introduced middle school students to eye-tracking technology and explained its applications in various fields, including language acquisition and marketing research.
- Designed workshop materials, including a PowerPoint presentation, videos, and interactive activities to engage students and foster curiosity.
Servei Solidari, Spain (2019-2020)
- Taught Spanish to immigrants and refugees at A1.1 to A2.2 levels (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR), preparing students for the Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE), which fulfills the citizenship exam language requirement.
- Developed and adapted course materials based on students’ needs, interests, and the foundation’s objectives.
- Fostered a multicultural and multilingual learning environment to enhance student engagement and success.
- Applied Cooperative Learning Strategies (e.g., Kagan, Slavin) and studied their impact on this demographic.
- Delivered online training to volunteer teachers on Cooperative Learning methods and their application in language classrooms, focusing on strategies for Spanish as a Foreign and a Second Language.
- Presented practical applications based on my research in Cooperative Learning and classroom experiences from my master’s thesis and language teaching background.

- Organized and planned 8 creative workshops and interdisciplinary events celebrating Hispanic, Portuguese, and Luso-Brazilian arts and cultures, to which 80+ people attended.
- Collaborated with faculty, guest speakers, fellow students, and other organizations (RU Bilingual and Literary Studies in Spanish Organization to provide hands-on workshops and meaningful cultural experiences.
- Managed the SpanPort Department Grant for Developing Cultural Projects (2023-2024), overseeing a budget of $500 to support materials and food expenses for workshops and events.
- Coordinated logistics for all events, including room bookings, material preparation, food arrangements, and outreach to ensure smooth execution and engaging experiences.
- Designed promotional materials and promoted events through marketing efforts in order to enhance visibility and grew event awareness within the Rutgers community.

- Planned and executed 3 workshops as part of the Spanish Department’s cultural initiatives.
- Conceived a creative writing contest to celebrate the World Book Day and Sant Jordi, and served as a judge for the contest.
